Dr. Fuchs is a Senior Physician at Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center where she is the Director of the Arrhythmia Service within the Cardiology Department.
Dr. Fuchs finished her medical studies magna cum-laude at Tel-Aviv University. She continued with her residency program at the Meir Medical Center in Israel under the mentorship of Professor Eliezer Kaplinsky, M.D. (who later on became the Dean of Tel-Aviv University ’s Medical School). With encouragement from Dr. Kaplinsky, Dr. Fuchs was granted a special scholarship from the Rappaport Foundation to finish her fellowship at Harvard University at the Brigham & Women`s Hospital in Boston under the auspices of Nobel Laureate winner, and one of the world’s most prominent cardiologists, Bernard Lown, M.D. Dr. Fuchs continued for an additional arrhythmia fellowship at New England Medical Center and at Massachussetts General Hospital.
Following the completion of her fellowship, Dr. Fuchs continued on to direct the Electrophysiology Laboratory and Arrhythmia Service at Boston University Medical Center. After almost 10 years at BMC, Dr. Fuchs decided to return to Israel to Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center as a senior physician and to establish an arrhythmia service at this hospital.
Dr. Fuchs is a licensed physician in the United States and Israel . In the United States , she is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Electrophysiology. (In Israel , she is registered as an “expert” physician by the Israel ’s Ministry of Health.) There are very few physicians in Israel holding three board certifications.
Medical Experience:
In her 20 years of Medical experience, Dr. Fuchs cared for many thousands of patients, implanted more than 2000 pacemakers, hundreds of defibrillators and performed hundreds of ablations.
Dr. Fuchs’ goal is not only to prolong patient’s lives but to enhance their quality of life by providing good quality and warm care.
